DAHABIYYA JUDI

There is no better way to explore the beauty of the Nile than onboard a Dahabiyya, a comfortable Egyptian sailing boat with two sails. Europeans have been travelling the Nile with these traditional boats since the 19th century. The Dahabiyya Judi measures 47 meters in length, is 7.5 meters wide and has a crew of 10.

Rooms:
The boat offers eight tastefully decorated and fully air conditioned cabins. Each cabin is measuring 14sqm, has a large bed or twin beds with Egyptian cotton bedding, a phone, an ample wardrobe, and a large window, where from guests can enjoy a great view of the Nile in the privacy of their room. The private bathrooms are all equipped with shower, bathtub, toilet, washing basin and hairdryer.

Suite:
The fully air-conditioned suite has all of the luxury fittings of the cabins, but in a more spacious and sumptuous setting. It spans the full width of the rear of the boat and is measuring 23sqm, opening onto its own private terrace with a panoramic view of the Nile. There is a large bed with Egyptian cotton bedding, a phone and an ample wardrobe. The private bathroom is equipped with shower, bathtub, toilet, washing basin and hairdryer.



6-Night Cruise Luxor / Aswan

Day 1 Saturday: Luxor - Arrival to the Ship

Arrive to the Ship in Luxor,  the crew will welcome you on board and have your bags taken to your cabins. Start sightseeing in Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Memnon Colossi and Karnak Temple. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 2 Sunday: Luxor - Esna

Possibility for early morning optional excursion to a Balloon ride over Luxor. Breakfast on board, we will then set sail on your voyage to Aswan. Enjoy sailing between Luxor and Esna. Overnight close to El Hegz Island.

Day 3 Monday: Esna - Edfu

Morning Sailing gently en-route to Edfu; enjoy breakfast at your leisure. Visit Edfu Temple by horse carriage, one of the largest and most intact of Egypt's monuments. Two beautiful granite statues of the Falcon God Horus flank the entrance. After your visit to the temple, either ride or walk through the bazaar, this is an extensive bazaar where you can barter for souvenirs, spices and perfumes. We will then set sail for our private island "El Fouza", where we will disembark for dinner served to you on the edge of the Nile.

Day 4 Tuesday: Edfu - Silslea

We set off for the relaxing journey to the temple of Gebel el Silsila, another of our less frequented destinations. You will be amazed as we tie up alongside the Speos of Hormheb. If possible dinner will be served in the grounds of the illuminated temple or on the upper deck of the boat whilst soaking up the tranquil atmosphere with music to match the mood.

Day 5 Wednesday: Silslea - Kom Ombo 

Breakfast at your leisure as we sail on to Kom Ombo. Listen to the sounds of the water buffalo as they wade in the shallow water besides the banks of the Nile, the donkeys as they go about their day to day business and the various bird life of the river. Here we visit to the Greco-Roman Temple at Kom Ombo. The temple building is totally symmetrical with two entrances, two halls and two sanctuaries dedicated to the Falcon God Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and the Crocodile God Sobek. Lunch will be served as we head for a small island where we will moor for the evening and enjoy dinner at this atmospheric location.

Day 6 Thursday: Kom Ombo - Aswan

Enjoy the privilege and luxury of days gone by as we sail to Aswan, the gateway to Nubia and Sudan. We should arrive around 10 am, giving you plenty of time to visit some of the highlights such as the Temple of Philae and the Souk, and unfinished Obelisk. You will have lots of time to prepare for our EGYPTIAN EVENING OF FUN, with Egyptian cuisine,  Arabic Music. Dress in your bespoke Galabiyyah .

Day 7 Friday: Disembarkation

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the crew. Your luggage will be collected and will be ready for you to travel to your next destination.
